Child burnt to death in gas cylinder fire in Jashore

Staff Correspondent, Jashore: A child was killed as she caught on gas cylinder fire at Sharsha upazila in Jashore on Friday noon.
The deceased was known as Toa. She is daughter of Badsha Mia of Patbari under Benapole.
Police and locals said Toa unlocked the gas cylinder while her mother went out of home for fetching water. Fire was set on the cylinder and she was playing with it. At one stage, she caught on fire and burnt to death on the spot.
Benapole port police station officer-in-charge (OC) Sheikh Abu Saleh Masud Karim confirmed the news.
An unnatural death (UD) case was filed in this connection, he added.
