China to provide training to 1000 teachers

Secretariat Correspondent: The Chinese government would impart trainings to 1,000 teachers of technical educational institutions during the next one year.

Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Zhang Zuo made the comment when a four-member delegation led by the ambassador called on Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid at the latter's office here.

During the meeting, they discussed the matters on mutual interests of the countries.

Nahid said the Chinese government is extending valuable support to Bangladesh for achieving quality education. The support of the Chinese government to impart training to the teachers will supplement the efforts of the government for building a technologically advanced country, he added.

The education minister hoped that this support will be increased more in the field of technical education.

Additional Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Secondary Division Md Mohiuddin Khan, senior officials of the ministry and members of the delegation, among others, were present on the occasion.
