Clash leaves schoolgirl dead in Kushtia

Kushtia Correspondent: A schoolgirl was killed and five others were injured in a fierce clash between two groups over establishing supremacy in the area at Paharpur village of the district's Kumarkhali upazila on Wednesday noon.

The deceased was identified as Rumi, 15,  daughter of Arif Bepari of the village and nine grader of Kamalapur Secondary School.

At one stage, they locked in a fierce clash, leaving the schoolgirl dead and five others injured.

Being informed, police rushed the spot and fired 30 rounds of blank bullets to control the situation. Law enforcers also held two people in this regard, he added.
