Ctg ex-mayor Mohiuddin Chowdhury taken to Singapore

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: Ailing veteran Awami League leader and former mayor of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury has been taken to Singapore from Square Hospitals in Dhaka for better treatment on Thursday.

Mohiuddin Chowdhury was flown to Singapore by an air ambulance around 6:30pm.

His elder son Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel, also the organising secretary of central Awami League, confirmed the matter.

Earlier on November 11, Mohiuddin, who has been suffering from kidney and heart diseases for long, was admitted to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Max Hospital in the port city as he fell ill.

Later on November 12, the former CCC mayor was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Square Hospitals in Dhaka from Chittagong with various complications.
