Drug trader found dead in Rajshahi

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: Police recovered the bullet-hit body of a suspected drug trader from Degram area at Godagari upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Motiur Rahman alias Moti, 40, son of Syed Ali of Madarpur village.

Jahangir Alam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Godagari Police Station, said that locals spotted the body near a road at the village in the morning and informed police.

Later, police recovered the body and sent it to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy, said the OC adding that the body bore bullet mark on the left chest.

The OC said, “It is not yet clear who killed him. They are looking into the matter. Legal action will be taken in this connection.”
