Eid in Satkhira in line with Saudi Arabia

Satkhira Correspondent: People of three places of Satkhira district are celebrating Eid-Ul-Fitr on Friday to keep consistency with the people of Saudi Arabia.

Eid jamaat was at Bawkola Purbapara mosque under district sadar upazila around 7:30am on the day. Maulana Mohabbat Ali conducted the prayer.

Meanwhile, Eid jamaats were also held at Chandpur of the sadar upazila and Islamkati under Tala upazila on Thursday in conformity with the festival in Saudi Arabia.

Around 500 people participated in Eid prayers at three places of the district.

According to Maulana Mohabbat Ali, Eid can be celebrated if moon is sighted at anywhere of the world.
