Elephant kills one in Chattogram

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: A man was trampled to death by wild elephant in Boiragi union under Anwara upazila of the district on Friday morning.

The deceased was identified as Abdur Rahman, 70.

Omar Faruk Anwar, city range officer of Chattogram south forest division told risingbd.com that wild elephant, all of a sudden, swooped on the victim this morning while he was returning his residence after performing Fajr prayer through the road. He died on the spot.

Later, locals recovered the body.
