Explosion at Narayanganj factory kills one

Staff Correspondent, Narayanganj: A worker was killed and another one sustained burn injury as a boiler in a re-rolling factory exploded in Fatullah area of Narayanganj on Wednesday.

The deceased worker was identified Babul, son of one Abdul Jabbar of Gafargaon upazila of Mymensingh.

Police said that the incident took place at Chakda Steel Mill in Pagla area of Fatullah around 12:00am, leaving two workers injured.

Later, they were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.

Sub-Inspector Jahangir Alam of Fatullah Model police station confirmed the matter.
