Explosion in Bhaluka leaves one dead, 3 burnt

Staff Correspondent, Mymensingh: A person has died and three others sustained burn injuries after an explosion inside a six storied building in Master Bari area at Mymensingh's Bhaluka upazila.

Sources said that an explosion took place in third floor of the six storied building around 1:00am on Sunday. Later, police cordoned off the house after the blast. No one was allowed to enter the house premises.

Bhaluka fire service station officer Rakibul Hasan said the wall of third floor collapsed following the explosion. Police recovered three burn injured people from the spot.

Sayed Nurul Islam, Police Super (SP) of Mymensingh district said that police could not confirm if any of the suspected militants were there.
