‘FFs to be given 8,000 flats free this year’

Pabna Correspondent: Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Huq said the allowance for the freedom fighters (FF) will be increased in the current budget. Alongside, around 8,000 flats will be distributed free among them this year.

The Minister made the disclosure at a rally at Shahid Dulal Pilot Girls’ High School groud after inaugurating Sujanagar Freedom Fighters Complex in the district’s Sujanagar upazila on Thursday morning.

Mozammel Huq, “Currently the freedom fighters get two festival bonuses during Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid al-Azha. After the next budget, the government has a plan to give them festival bonuses on Independence Day, Victory Day and Pahelda Baishakh.”

Earlier, he, among others, offered munajat at former upazila Awami League president Abul Kashem’s grave.
