Fake doctor held in Barisal

Staff Correspondent, Barisal: Police arrested an alleged fake doctor from Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital in Barisal on Tuesday noon.

The detainee is identified as Saiful Islam, son of Md Nuruzzaman, hailed from Kumarpara village in Banaripara of the district.

Hospital administration sources said Saiful has confessed his guilt during primary interrogation. He roamed various wards and units of the hospital using his fake identity from last year. Meanwhile, he took money from patients and relatives of patients cheating with them.

Hospital director Dr Md Bakir Hossain handed him over to Barisal Katwali Model Police Station around 1:00pm. 

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nurul Islam PPM said that legal action will be taken against him.
