Faridpur division soon: LGRD minister

Faridpur Correspondent: Faridpur is being made division soon, said Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperative Minister Engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain.

The minister made the announcement at a discussion held at Imamuddin Square in Faridpur on Saturday afternoon.

Calling upon all party leaders and activists to take preparation for the next general election, Mosharraf asked them to go to people and brief them about the development activities of the government.

Pointing to the workers, the LGRD minister said the workers have objection about Vehicle Act, 2017. But punishment is not given although the provision of punishment is mentioned in the act. Rather maximum caution is followed if the provision of punishment is referred to the act.

The act will be passed after discussing with owners and workers, he added.

Sramik League Faridpur unit organised the discussion over May Day.
