Faridur Reza, 6 others narrowly escape helicopter crash

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: Seven people, including Impress Telefilm and Channel I Managing Director Faridur Reza, escaped unhurt as a helicopter of Impress Aviation Ltd crashed in Godagari uapzila of Rajshahi on Thursday.
The private helicopter carrying the persons, including Sagar, Singer Ferdous Ara and Shorno Kishoree Network director Farzana Brownia crashed around 2:35pm after it took off from Anwara Fahim Ziauddin Pilot Girls High School ground.
Sources said that the accident occurred when a team was returning to Dhaka after shooting of a ‘Sarnakishori’ programme for the Channel I in the afternoon.
The helicopter crashed into the land due to inclement weather caused by Cyclone Titli, the source said.
Godagari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jahangir Alam confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.
The OC said no one was seriously injured in this connection. At first, they were taken to Godagari 31-bed hospital. Later, they were shifted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
