Fire at separate factories in Gazipur

Staff Correspondent: Fire was broken out at two separate factories at Chhoydana of Gazipur City Corporation (GCC) area and Shreepur on Wednesday night.

Zakir Hossain, officer of Joydevpur Fire Service Staion, said a fire originated at Z R Sweater factory of Chhoydana around 9:30pm. Being informed, two units of Fire Service rushed the spot and doused the blaze with an effort of half and an hour.

Though materials of the factory were gutted, nobody was hurt in the incident, he added.

The fire might have originated from short circuit, he said.

Meanwhile, Md Zihad Mia, Ware House Inspector of Shreepur Fire Station, said a fire broke out at Khaza Food Product of Mulaid area in Shreepur. The fire ensued from short circuit. Being informed, two units of doused the blaze after an effort of an hour.

Nobody was injured in the incident, he added.
