Five get life term for killing covered-van driver

Staff Correspondent, Rajshahi: A tribunal in Rajshahi sentenced five people to life term imprisonment on charge of killing a covered-van driver in a petrol bomb explosion in Shibganj upazila of the district.
Judge Anup Kumar of Rajshahi Speedy Trial Tribunal passed the order on Thursday.
The lifers are Ferdous Ahmed, son of Mohsin Reza, Mamun Ali alias Apel, son of Abul Kashem, Abu Bakkar Siddique, son of Meraj Uddin, Abu Syed alias Sayem, son of Sadikul Islam and Tofail, son of Hazrat Ali.
They were accused in a murder case over the incident in 2015.
Special Public Prosecutor (PP) Advocate Entajul Haque Babu moved for the state at the courtroom.
