Four children die of unknown disease in Hathazari

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: Four childrent have died of unidentified disease at Tripura Palli under Hathazari upazila in Chattogram.
The children died since August August 21 (Tuesday) to August 26 (Sunday).
Besides, 21 others also got admission to hospitals for the same reason.
Chattogram Civil Surgeon Dr Azizur Rahman Siddique confirmed the news to risingbd.
He said, “I heard about the death of four children by unidentified disease. Being informed, a medical team has already been sent there. The team is working in the area. They were collecting blood of the affected people for test to identify the disease.”
According to locals, more than 400 people of 55 families are residing in the remote Tripura Palli. Any health service never reached there. Four children died of unknown disease one after another since August 21.
Hathazari Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Akter-un-Nesa Sheuli said that the matter was informed to the health department after taking necessary steps.
