Fugitive JMB man surrenders in Tangail

Staff Correspondent, Tangail: A fugitive member of Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) surrendered to a court in Tangail.

JMB member Ataur Rahman, 50, son of late Jafar Ali Khan of Ballavbari village of the district's Kalihati upazila, surrendered to the senior judicial magistrate court in Kalihati on Sunday noon.

Later, judge Anjan Kanti Das sent him to jail after rejecting his bail petition.

Ataur Rahman is a listed member of JMB. He was went on hiding in a case filed under Anti-Terrorism Act with Kalihati Police Station in 2016.
