Heavy rain submerges parts of Ctg city

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: Heavy rain submerged many streets of the port city on Friday, leaving the normal life in disarray.

The low-lying areas of the city, including Bohoddarhat, Chandgaon, Muradpur, Chakbazar, Sholosohor, Agrabad, Baklia, GEC intersection, Bayezid and Halishohor areas, went under knee and waist-deep water due to the torrential rain that started early Friday and continued till 10 am, causing immense sufferings to the city dwellers.

People were seen crossing the roads by rickshaw or wading through the water in the city.
