Huge explosive likely remains in Kushtia militant den

Kushtia Correspondent: Police suspect that there might be remaining a huge cache of explosive inside the militant den cordoned off at Bheramara of the district since Friday midnight.

Abdul Mannan, assistant deputy commissioner (ADC) of Counter Terrorism unit of police, on Saturday morning said, "We suspect of remaining a huge cache of explosive inside the militant hideout surrounded. Operation would be conducted after the bomb disposal unit reaches the spot from Dhaka."

Counter Terrorism unit have cordoned off a house in suspicion of militant hideout near Taltola mosque of Bamonparha under Bheramara. Later, a team comprising of Bheramara and Kushtia sadar police stations and the district Detective Branch (DB) joined the operation.

Meanwhile, three female militants along with a newborn were held from the hideout with suicidal vests.

Police also seized a pistol, a magazine and some gunpowder from the hideout.
