Huji leader arrested in Jhenidah

Jhenidah Correspondent: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Maulana Abdul Alim, 50, regional leader of Harkatul Jihad al Islami (Huji), from Hatgopalpur area of the district's sdar upazila on Saturday morning.
Abdul Alim is son of Azizul Haque of Avaytala village under Patkelghata upazila of Satkhira. He is Aamir of Jhenidah Sadar upazila and the regional leader of the outfit.
Major Monir Ahmed of Jhenidah RAB said acting on tipped off RAB members arrested him conducting a drive in the morning. He is accused in a case under terrorism and militancy act filed with Damurhuda Police Station of Chuadanga.
