Juba League leader hacked to death in Mirsarai

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: A Juba League leader named Golam Mustafa (45) has been hacked to death in the district’s Mirsarai upazila.

Miscreants hacked the Juba League leader to death in front of his house in Alinagar area under Jorarganj Police Station on Monday morning.

The deceased Golam Mustafa was the vice-president of Korerhat union unit of Juba League.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge of Jorarganj Police Station Zahidul Kabir told risingbd that his body was found lying on the road in front of the house on Monday morning. His wife informed the police station, and later police recovered the body. Police suspect that the murder took place due to a family dispute. Police have launched an investigation to identify and arrest the killers. The dead body was sent to the Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue.
