Kadiani Imam hacked in Mymensingh 

Staff Correspondent, Mymensingh: An imam of a mosque was hacked severely at Khankapur Gangpara village of Ishwarganj area in Mymensingh on Monday night.

The Imam was identified as Mostafizur Rahman, 35, hailed from Dinajpur. He was engaged as Imam at Khanpur Madhyapara Kadiani mosque.

However, locals held a man in this connection and handed over to police.

Confirming the news, Syed Nazrul Islam, Superintendent of Police (SP) in Mymensingh, said miscreants swooped on him when he came out from mosque after Esha prayer, leaving him critically injured. Locals also held an attacker and handed him over to police.
