Khadiza sent to jail

Staff Correspondent, Jessore: Khadiza, sister of slain neo-JMB leader Marzan, was sent to Jessore Central Jail on Tuesday. Her two-year old Razu was also sent to the jail with her.

Chief Judicial Magistrate of Jessore Mohammad Akram Hossain passed the order while police produced Khadiza before the court seeking seven-day remand for interrogation.

The court, however, fixed October 19 for hearing.

After the court order, Khadiza, who along with her three children surrendered before the law enforcers from the militant den on Monday, was sent to the jail from the court custody in the afternoon.

Inspector (investigation) of Kotwali Model Police Station Abul Basar Mia said that the two other children of Khadiza were given under custody of their grandfather and grandmother.

Law enforcers cordoned off the militant den at Ghop Central Road area in Jessore district town early in the morning on Monday. The law enforcers asked Khadiza to surrender from the militant den. Later, Khadiza along with her three children surrendered in the afternoon on that day.
