Launch capsize: Probe body to record witness statement for 2 days

Probe body formed by the Shipping Ministry will record statements from eye-witnesses for two days over the incident of the launch capsize in Buriganga.

The committee will record statements at 3:00pm on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Jahangir Alam Khan, senior information officer of the Shipping Ministry confirmed the matter.

He said convener of the probe body Rafiqul Islam, joint secretary (Development) of the Shipping Ministry, requested eye-witnesses to be present in time.

The Shipping Ministry formed a seven-member probe committee over the launch capsize incident in Buriganga River.

The committee will submit a report to the ministry within the next seven days.
