Comilla Correspondent: A 10-kilometre-long tailback was created on Dhaka-Chittagong highway due to slow movement of vehicles in Daudkandi to Amirabadh area on Friday.
Bashir Mia, bus driver of Dhaka-bound Hanif Paribahan, said: “The tailback stretched from Daudkandi toll plaza in Daudkandi to Amirabadh. Three hours took to cross the road.”
Zia Alam, inspector of Comilla Highway traffic police, said the slow speed in Meghna Gomati bridge toll plaza and wrong sided sand landed truck created the traffic jam here.
The highway police forces are trying to ease the congestion, he added.
