MMCH students asked to leave halls

Staff Correspondent, Mymensingh: The authority of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital (MMCH) has asked the students to leave their residential halls following unrest in the campus over beating a student.

 

The MMCH authority came up with the direction on Monday afternoon.

 

Earlier at noon, the MMCH authority at an academic council meeting suspended three students of second year of the medical college for one year.

 

The suspended students are-- Anupam, Siam and Himel.

 

Meanwhile, unrest in the campus existed between two opposing groups following the academic council decision.

 

Later, the MMCH authority asked the students to leave halls.

 

Professor Dr Fazlul Haque Pathan, pro-vice chancellor of the MMCH, confirmed the news to risingbd.com.

 

Earlier on Wednesday last, a second year student beat a five year student of the medical college.
