MP Happy Boral's daughter stabbed

Bagerhat Correspondent: Parliament member (reserved seat) Happy Boral's daughter has been stabbed while she was returning home after celebrating of Victory Day rally.

The incident took place in front of Amlaparha school of K Ali road of the district town on Saturday evening.

MP Happy Boral's daughter Adity Boral, 27, is an apprentice lawyer. She was admitted to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital.

After hearing the incident, Advocate Mir Shawkat Ali Badsha, lawmaker of Bagerhat-2,  Tapan Kumar Biswas, deputy commissioner (DC) of Bagerhat, Pankaj Chandray Roy, Superintendent of Police (SP), and ruling party leaders and activist visited Adity Boral at the hospital.

However, police could not hold any none involved in the incident.

Adity is a student of LLM at London College Studies in Dhaka. She also completed LLB from the institution.

Adity who is undergoing treatment in the hospital said that she attended a women rally with her mother held at Amlaparha school premises. Before ending the programme, she was returning to their Shaltola home. When she took the way, an identified man suddenly stopped her and asked whether she is daughter of Happy Boral. He stabbed at her stomach when she said 'yes'.

Adity, however, is currently out of danger, Arun Chandra Mondal, Supervisor and Civil Surgeon of the hospital, confirmed the reporters.

He said, "Adity sustained injuries of sharp weapon at her stomach. She is being provided treatment. Now she is out of danger."


SP Pankaj Chandra Roy told reporters that police have already started their activities to nab the attacker. The mystery behind the incident will be uncovered soon.

Police have been deployed to ensure security for MP Happy Boral and her family members after incident.
