Maldivian model found dead in Rajshahi

Staff Correspondent: A Maldivian female student was found dead at a female dormitory of Rajshahi Islami Bank Medical College Hospital on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Raudha Athif, 20, a second year student of the medical college.

Wishing anonymity, a classmate of Raudha Athif said that Raudha came from a rich family. She lived a reckless life. The medical college authority alerted her to bring change into the lifestyle.

Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Spokesman and Senior Assistant Commissioner (Sadar) Iftekhar Alam said that the body was taken to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. 

Raudha Athif with aqua blue eyes was featured on the cover of Vogue Magazine in October 2016.

On the news of Raudha being featured in the leading woman’s fashion magazine, Twitter users from the Maldives could not contain their excitement and started congratulating her for the success.

Former President Mohamed Nasheed also congratulated her for her international recognition.
