Man arrested with arms in Pabna

Pabna Correspondent: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a man along with arms and ammunition conducting drive at Sujanagar in Pabna early Friday.

The arrestee was identified as Shahid Sheikh, 52, son of Zahid Sheikh of Char Bhabanipur village of the upazila.

Lieutenant Ruhul Amin, company commander of Pabna RAB-12, confirmed the news.

He said, “Acting on a tip off, a team of RAB-12 arrested Shahid Sheikh conducting drive at Char Bhabanipur village. Law enforcers also seized a foreign made revolver, five rounds of bullets, 10 shells, a machete and a knife from his possession."

Shaid had been creating panic among local people restoring arms, bullets and shells illegally for long days, according to RAB.

A case was filed in this connection with Sujanagar Police Station.
