Man held with 1kg gold in Chuadanga

Chuadanga Correspondent: The Customs Intelligence recovered ten gold bars weighing one kilogram from Jaynagar check-post in Darshana border in the district on Friday morning.
The detainee is identified as Abdul Motaleb.
Rani Dutta, Benapol circle revenue officer of Jashore Customs Intelligence decorate said acting on tip-off, a team of detectives stopped Abdul Motaleb this noon. Meanwhile, he tried to flee scene. At one stage, the law enforcers seized the ten gold bars from his shoes.
A case was filed with Damurhuda Model police station in this regard, Rani Dutta added.
