Man killed, wife injured as bus hits motorbike

Bagerhat Correspondent: A man was killed and his wife was injured as a bus hit their motorbike at Kathaltola on Khulna-Bagerhat highway of the district's sadar upazila on Friday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Abu Bakar Siddique, 41, son of Motiar Rahman of Pagladiya village of Fakirhat upazila.

The injured is Haoa Begum, 32, who was admitted to Khulna Medical College and Hospital.
KM Azizul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Katakhali Highway Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said a Rohan Paribahan bus hit Bakar's motorbike and fell into a roadside ditch, leaving him dead and his wife injured.

However, no passenger of the bus was injured in the incident, he added.
