Man to die for killing father

Thakurgaon Correspondent: A Thakurgaon court has sentenced a man to death for killing his father in 2010.

The death-row convict is Mozaharul Islam of Chorol village of the district's Baliadangi upazila.

The additional sessions judge Haidar Ali passed the order on Wednesday.

According to the case statement, Mozaharul hacked his father Idris Ali to death over sowing seeds in a land on December 13, 2010.

Idris Ali's another son Ansarul Islam filed a case against Mozaharul with Baliadangi Police Station.  Later, police arrested the accused and pressed charges against him, the case statement revealed.
