Man to walk gallows for double murder Chuadanga

Chuadanga Correspondent: A court in Chaudanga on Tuesday sentenced a man to death for killing a woman and her daughter in 2009.

Chuadanga Additional District and Session Judge-2 Rokonuzzaman passed the order in presence of convicts.

The convict Manzurul Islam Malik Lipu 42, was also fined Tk 50,000.

According to the case statement, on November 16, 2009, Lipu slaughtered Rina Akter and her daughter Ayesha Khatun (12) to death in Railpara area of the district.

Later, Rina Akter’s husband Habibur Rahman Habib filed a case with Sadar Police Station mentioning Lipu's name.
