Former Bangladesh skipper and incumbent MP of Narail-2 constituency Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has tested positive for deadly coronavirus.

He was confirmed of contracting coronavirus in a medical report on Saturday.

Mashrafe’s close friend Babul confirmed the news.

After the coronavirus outbreak began, Mashrafe visited Narail twice to help people.

So, considering family and his own safety, he quarantined for 14 days before coming to his home in Mirpur, Dhaka.

He has been staying at his residence in Mirpur ever since.

However, despite all this, the national team cricketer could not restrain himself from being contracted with coronavirus. Now the cricketer has arranged for self-isolation at his Mirpur home. He will get all the treatments from here.

Earlier Mashrafe’s mother-in-law and sister-in-law were infected with coronavirus. They are now undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dhaka. However, there was no possibility for Mashrafe of being infected from them.

Meanwhile, former Bangladesh national team cricketer Nafis Iqbal was found positive on Friday. Nafis, the elder brother of current national team ODI captain Tamim Iqbal, had been suffering from fever for the last several days.
