Medical college student killed in motorcycle crash

Staff Correspondent, Khulna: A medical college student was killed in motorbike accident at Rupsha bridge bypass road under the city’s Lobonchara thana on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was known as Ariful Islam Akash, 22, a third-year student of Khulna Medical College. He hailed from Faridpur.

Shafiqul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Lobonchara Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said, Akash was going to Barisal to meet his father by motorbike. The accident took place when he reached near main gate of Lobonchara Police Station, leaving him seriously injured. He was whisked off to hospital immediately after the accident, but he succumbed on the way.
