Miscreants attempted to kill my daughter: Khokon

Staff Correspondent, Narayanganj: Wazed Ali Khokon, Public Prosecutor (PP) of the sensational seven-murder case, has claimed that several miscreants attempted to kill his daughter.

Wazed Ali came up with the allegation at his own residence of Chashara Balur Math area of the city on Thursday afternoon.

He said, "Miscreants forced may daughter to have sweetmeat mixed with poison in a bid to abduct her. She was taken home after washing twice her stomach at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital."

"My girl might have been attempted to kill as I was playing an important role in the sensational seven-murder case," he alleged.

Police could not identify someone yet over the incident. Filing case against unknown miscreants was under process while the report was filed at the afternoon.

The incident is being investigated, police said.

Wazed Ali said, "The incident was carried out to make me mentally depressed. The incident might have been gruesome."

The victim Maisha Wazed Prapti said, "Several unknown people, saying they were identified to my father, forced me to take sweetmeat while she was returning from coaching centre. After the incident, I informed the incident when I felt burning in my chest and stomach. I noticed two persons sitting in a car near the scene. Later, I was taken to hospital.
