Mother, 2 children hacked to death in Kishoreganj

Kishoreganj Correspondent: A woman along with her two children were allegedly hacked to death over land dispute at Tarakandi Purbaparha of the district's Pakundia upazila on Saturday morning.

The children's father Mosharrof Hossain was also seriously injured in the incident.

The deceased were identified as Mosharrof's wife Taslima Akter, 28, son Niloy, 10, and daughter Raisa, 8.

A college student named Mobin, 26, made the attack on them, Mosharrof Hossain alleged. After the incident, locals held him and handed over to police.

Mobin is known as son of expatriate Alam Mia of Tarakandi Purbaparha village and post-graduate student of Kishoreganj Government Gurudoyal College.

Police and locals said Mosharraf and Mobin's father Alam are paternal cousin. There had been a land dispute between them for long. As a sequel to that the incident took place.

Md Shamsuddin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Pakundia Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said locals held Mobin when he was fleeing the scene after the incident. Later, he was brought to the police station.
