Mother-daughter found dead in Bhola

Staff Correspondent: Police recovered throat -slit body of a woman and her daughter's burnt body from their living room at Joynagar village of the district's Daulatkhan upazila early Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Shahanaz Begum, 22, and her daughter Mohona.

Police held Billal Hossain, 40, husband of Shahanaz, for interrogation.

Md Enayet Hossain, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Daulatkhan Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said Billal along with his wife, daughter and son was sleeping in a room on Friday night. At one stage, he took his son and left him to his grandmother. Later, he slaughtered Shahanaz. After murdering her, he set fire on the house that left his daughter burnt to death.

Later, Billal admitted to Bhola sadar hospital in excuse of injured. He was held from there, he added.

"Billal, a truck driver, got three marriages. Shahanaz was his second wife, the OC said.

The bodies were sent to Bhola sadar hospital for autopsy. The murdered might have been occurred over family feud, he added.
