Murder case accused killed in Jessore gunfight

Staff Correspondent: A listed criminal was killed in a 'gunfight' between two groups in Saranpur village under Monirampur upazila of the district on Sunday morning.

The deceased was Razu Sardar, 28, son of Rabiul Sardar, hailed from Sardarpara of Krishnagara in Jhikargachha upazila.

Superintendent of Police Md Anisur Rahman of Jessore said that two terrorist groups locked into gunfight in the area this morning. Later, on information, police rescued bullet hit Razu from the spot and sent him to hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.

He was wanted in 29 cases including Upazila Awami League activist Milon murder case, the police officer added.
