‘National security to keep under control through satellite’

Gopalganj Correspondent: Posts, Telecommunication and ICT minister Mostafa Zabbar said that using own satellite means we can keep national security issues under our own control. We can provide services at vast terrain from Indonesia to Kazakhstan.

He said, “We had launched Bangabandhu-1 successfully which is continuing its journey in the orbit excellently."

The Minister told this to the reporters after paying tributes to Bangabandhu by placing wreaths at his grave in Tungipara on Tuesday noon on successful launching of the country's first communication satellite into the space.

Mostafa Zabbar, “We received signals from our satellite.  It will set its own orbit after its journey. Then, we will be able to use it after experiment. We will need nearly three months to use it properly.”

“Today's world is the world of flowing information. But security is an important thing in this case. We can keep the matters of our national security under control through this satellite,” the Minister added.

He said, “We can be benefited economically through this satellite. We need not to hire satellite in abroad. Rather, we can give on rent and earn foreign currency.”
