Negligence causes death, clinic sealed in Bogura

Bogura Correspondent: A mobile court has sealed a private clinic in Bogura over allegedly death of a patient due to negligence and absence of approval.

The mobile court led executive magistrate Momtaj Mahal visited the Dolphin Clinic and ordered to seal it on Thursday noon.

Bogura Civil Surgeon Dr Shamsul Haque, privae clinic observation committee’s member secretary Dr Samir Hossain Mishu and law enforcers were present during the drive.

Civil Surgeon Dr Shamsul Haque said a case will be filed against the people concerned for operating the clinic without approval and letting the house rent.

He also said negligence of physicians was proved which caused death to a schoolboy.

It may be mentioned that Sakib, student of the town’s Foyezullah High School, was admitted to the hospital Appendicitis operation on Wednesday afternoon.

Relatives alleged that all physicians including anesthesia one went out of the hospital after surgery was conducted at the evening. As he (Sakib) did not get back his conscious after 9:00 pm, relatives entered the operation theatre (OT) room and found his body lying on a bed.

Later, he was rushed to a government hospital where attending doctors said he had died several hours ago.
