Nine drug peddlers held in Ctg

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel detained nine drug peddlers along with 591 bottles of Phensidyl from Ice-factory road area of Sadarghat in Chittagong.

Mimatanur Rahman, senior assistant director (media) of RAB-7 confirmed the matter on Wednesday noon.

The detainees are- Md Faisal, 20, Md Zakir Alam, 28, Md Oli, 42, Md Sumon, 30, Md Noor Islam, 35, Md Kashem, 32, Kalu Mir Hossain, 30, Md Nurul Islam, 37 and Md Abdul Khaleq, 22.

RAB said a team of law enforcers led by RAB Squadron Leader Safayat Jamil Fahim conducted drive in the area and detained nine people with the Phensidyl bottles from two sacks.
