‘No chance of opposing polling agents’

Staff Correspondent, Barisal: Mujibur Rahman, returning officer of Barisal City Corporation (BCC) polls, said that overall preparations for the city election have already been completed. There is no chance of opposing polling agents.

He made the clarification to the reporters on Sunday afternoon.

Mujibur said, “Election materials were sent to different polling centres since 3:30pm. Strict security measures have been taken at the polling stations.”

“Our own observatory team from Dhaka is heading towards Barisal. They will monitor overall situation,” he added.

The returning officer said, “Actions were taken against some allegations we found evidences till Saturday.”
