Staff Correspondent: There is no constitutional provision for an ancillary government during the election, said Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.
The minister came up with the opinion while talking to reporters after inspecting the progress of work of the flyover in Bhulta area of Narayanganj on Monday.
Quader said, “There is no provision of auxiliary government during the election in any democratic country of the world. Election commission will play the key role during the polls. Then the government will perform their routine work like other countries. All machineries including home ministry will be under the control of the election commission.”
