No possibility of boycotting election: Afroza Abbas

Staff Correspondent: Dhaka South City mayor aspirant Mirza Abbas’s wife Afroza Abbas said that there is no possibility of boycotting City Corporation election.

Afroza made the comment while talking with journalists during her poll campaign at Supreme Court Ainjibi Samity Bhaban in city on Sunday noon.

She claimed that the supporters of the government violated electoral code of conduct.

Afroza said, "We are campaigning since April 10 but we faced threatens and obstacles."

She also said that there is no possibility to boycott the election in this moment.

The government did not grant bail of Mirza Abbas so I am campaigning on behalf of him, she added.

The election to the three city corporations (Dhaka South and North and Chittagong) will be held on April 28.
