OC among 4 hurt in Khulna clash

Staff Correspondent, Khulna: At least four people, including an Officer-in-Charge (OC), were injured in a clash between police and jute mill workers in Natun Rasta intersection area of the city on Thursday.

Sources said that the workers staged demonstration blocking roads and rail lines on Thursday morning. Meanwhile, police tried to disperse the workers which triggered a class around 10:00am. The workers hurled brick chips aiming police, leaving four policemen injured.

The injured were sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital.

Confirming the matter, Daulatpur police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mostak Ahmed said that the agitated workers also vandalized a motorcycle during the clash.
