Oikyafront gets permission for Ctg rally

Staff Correspondent, Chattogram: Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) has allowed Jatiya Oikyafront to hold rally Saturday on Nur Ahmed Road in front of BNP office in the city’s Kazir Deury area.

CMP confirmed this Jatiya Oikyafront leaders verbally on Friday.

Earlier, police rejected Oikyafront’s request of holding rally at the city’s Laldighi ground.

Abu Sufiyan, vice-president of Chattogram Metropolitan BNP, confirmed the news.

When asked, Md Abdul Warish Khan, deputy commissioner (special branch) of CMP, said Jatiya Oikyafront was allowed to hold rally on Nur Ahmed Road in front of BNP office of Nasiman Bhaban on conditions. They were not allowed for rally at Laldighi ground.
