One killed in Jessore ‘gunfight’

Staff Correspondent, Jessore: A suspected robber was killed in a ‘gunfight’ with police in Deuli area of Keshabpur upazila early Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Yunus Ali Sana, son of Mokbul Hossain at Monipur village under Ashashuni upazila in Satkhira district.
According to police sources, a gang of robbers were taking preparations to commit robbery in the area and a police team conducted a drive there. Sensing the presence of law enforcers, dacoit men opened fire, forcing the policemen to back fire that triggered a gunfight.
Later, police recovered the dead bodies.
