PM to visit Khulna on Saturday

Muhammad Nuruzzaman, Khulna: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to visit Khulna on Saturday (March 3).

She will inaugurate 47 development projects and lay foundation stones of 52 projects in the city and district during her visit.

The premier will attend the convention of Engineering Institute of Bangladesh (IEB) on its Khalishpur office premises and join a public meeting on circuit house ground premises in the city as the chief guest.

A 110 feet long stage similar to 'Boat' (the party symbol) has been built on circuit house ground premises on the occasion of the public meeting.

Centering PM's rally in Khulna, the party leaders and activists got excited. The city along with the entire district town has been decorated with colors and lightings.

A huge number of arcades, banners and festoons, chanting very slogan for PM and welcoming her to Khulna, have been set up at most of the spots of the city.

Awami League central S M Kamal Hossain, city Awami League president Talukdar Abdul Khaleque MP and general secretary Mizanur Rahman Mizan MP visited the stage built at circuit house on Wednesday.

Khulna Road and Highways, Education Engineering Department, Public and Works Division, LGED, University of Engineering and Technology, Khulna, Bangladesh Railway, District Sports Association, Zilla Parishad, Khulna University and Khulna WASA have implemented the 47 projects in the last nine years which are set to be inaugurated during PM's Khulna visit.
