Palestinian ambassador meets Maulana Shafi

Staff Correspondent: Yousef SY Ramadan, chargé d'affaires of the Palestinian embassy in Dhaka, has paid a courtesy call on Hefajat-e-Islam chief Shah Ahmed Shafi, according to spokesperson of Hefajat-e-Islam Maulana Munir Ahmed.

Though Yousef visited Maulana Shafi at Hathazari Darul Ulum Madrasa on Sunday morning, it was emerged in public on Monday.

The Palestine ambassador stayed at the Madrasa building for half and an hour and discussed with Allama Shafi over various issues.

Maulana Munir Ahmed said Chargé d'affaires of the Palestinian embassy Yousef SY Ramadan reached Hathazari madrasa around 11:00am on Sunday with an invitation letter of his state's Chief Justice.

Hefajat chief was invited to visit Palestine and Masid Al-Aqsa, he added.
